F.A.Q.
Do I need my own hat?
We strongly recommend riders to wear their own hats which should
meet current safety standards. We do have a small selection of
hats for those who don't have their own.
What footwear will I need?
Comfortable boots with a definite heal to ensure safety in the
stirrup. Ankle boots with half chaps are a favorite for comfort.
What do I wear?
Riding trousers or jodhpurs will ensure comfort for in the saddle.
Waterproof/windproof coat (for winter months) Light weight,
non bulky clothing eg: polo shirts, sleeved tea shirts,
fleeces, gloves.
What type for horse will I be riding?
We have a cross section of Spanish horses.
What type of tack will be used?
Mainly it will be Western tack.
How do I know the horses are well cared for and suitable for
riding?
The health and well being of the horses is one of our top
priorities. Our team is experienced in equine health and welfare
to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Are there any weight or age restrictions?
Provided you are of good physical
fitness there are no restrictions on age. We do have a weight
limit of 15st (95 kg)
Are the rides safe?
Our guides are experienced and safety is our primary concern. Our
rides vary in pace, terrain and difficulty so it is essential that
clients are accurate when they are asked about their riding
experience to ensure safe choices.
Are all the rides accompanied by a guide?
All of our trails are guided by experienced guides.
I have never ridden before; can I still go on a riding holiday?
Yes, absolutely, complete beginners are very welcome.
What activities are available for my non riding partner?
There are numerous alternative activities for non riders. We have
a golf course close by, Tennis, Bowling and Walking. There are also
many tracks for cycling,
relaxing by the pool with a good book or going to the beach. There
are plenty of lovely small shops to discover in the area and
plenty of places to visit. It is also possible for non riders to
have a go at riding should they wish.
I have no one to travel with and I am worried about being on my
own?
That should not be any concern. You will be riding with like
minded people and will certainly make new friends.
Are the price of flights included?
Flights are not included, you can arrange your own flights or we
can arrange them for you.
What sort of holiday insurance will I need?
You will need to check that your travel insurance includes horse
riding or you can take a small additional insurance. We will need to have the details of your policy on your
arrival at the Ranch .
